On
January 9, 2005, the Government of Sudan and
the Sudan People's Liberation Movement
signed the Comprehensive Peace Agreement,
officially ending Africa's longest running
civil war. During the 21-year conflict,
fighting, famine, and disease killed more
than 2 million people and forced more than 4
million from their homes-creating the
largest population of internally displaced
people in the world.
With a promise of peace,
the people of
Southern Sudan are returning home.
Pan de Diing Farm was developed in immediate response
to natives of Panyagor and other Southern
Sudan communities returning to their
homeland without developed resources needed
for mere survival.
The Farm provides freshly grown food at no
cost to families in the area, while teaching
them how to use the God-provided natural
resources of their land to become
self-sufficient.
Pan de Diing Farm is located in Panyagor
(also known as Kongor) on 150 acres of
land designated and donated by Garang Kuir
of The Diing Family for the development of
the Farm for community benefit.
100 acres
are used for growing food while 50 acres
consist of food processing areas, farm
houses, a garden and a market for food
distribution.
We are
preparing for our
2007 harvest.

The Farm has 7 Farm Houses.
One for guests and farm operations and six
houses designated for family overseers.
Each family oversees a portion of the acres
of farm land - managing workers, preparing
the land, planting seed and harvesting
crops.

Many of the people returning to the
area have never known a time of peace; They
were born during the war with little hope of
seeing a united country. The Garden is a
peaceful place on the farm for people to
come to pray, meditate and seek God. It offers a place of
serenity, peace and restoration after many years of suffering and distress.

The Market is the place for food
distribution. Uncooked food is distributed
free based upon family size and need. Cooked
food is sold with funds going toward the
operations of the farm.
