Green Orchards is a global initiative for establishing sustainable green communities.  It began as a humanitarian effort to relieve poverty, disease and famine in indigent areas around the world and has expanded to include developing sustainable initiatives and educating citizens as to how to live green lifestyles.  In our efforts to meet human needs, we are committed to developing a pattern of resource use that preserves the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but in the indefinite future. 

Sustainable Agriculture
Our goal is to bring communities sustainable agriculture as a way of raising food that is healthy for consumers and animals, does not harm the environment, is humane for workers, respects animals, provides a fair wage to the farmer, and supports and enhances rural communities.  Our core aim is to create farms that produce food indefinitely, without causing severe or irreversible damage to ecosystem health.  This will be realized through international partnerships with diverse businesses, organizations and individuals, cultivating grass roots and local efforts that result in food and agricultural systems and communities that are healthy, environmentally sound, profitable, humane and just. 

Green Living
Our goal is to spread the message of environmental awareness while supporting products and services that support lifestyles of responsibility to humanity and the environment.

Our vision for Green Orchards it to promote sustainable agriculture and green living that meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.  While our vision for Green Orchards includes working around the world, our current efforts are focused on Southern Sudan.
